This year's Sureserve Academy event and Awards took place on the 24 May 2022, giving almost 100 of the Group's trainees an opportunity to celebrate the training and development opportunities open to them and share their experiences of training excellence with colleagues, mentors and managers from other parts of the Group. 

The event took place at the London Stadium in Stratford, home of the London Olympics 2012, and included a welcome from CEO Peter Smith, team building and educational activities and an inspirational presentation from guest speaker, silver medal winning Olympian and world championship rower, Jack Beaumont.

The amazing surroundings set the scene for an exciting day, highlighting the quality of our people undertaking Apprenticeships, upskilling, and Management training across the Group. Samantha Sice, Group SHEQ Adviser and winner of the Academy Award for Sureserve Group plc last year, spoke to attendees about the importance of self-development and training, and how with the right support and mindset, the opportunities for an exciting career are there for the taking. There was also a presentation from James Moore, Employer Engagement Manager at CTP, talking about the ways in which a partnership with the Sureserve Group has provided opportunities to ex-service men and women to access employment after leaving the Armed Forces.

The day was rounded off by the Sureserve Academy Awards presentation, an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional individuals across the Group who have achieved great things through their hard work and dedication to training. We were delighted to award the following trainees Sureserve Academy Awards.
