Norfolk CHC NHS Trust has awarded CorEnergy four separate best value tenders to design lighting and control solutions in compliance with the relevant British Standards and CIBSE Lighting Guides. Following design approval, CorEnergy delivered the projects as Principal Contractor, managing all aspects of the construction phase plan including CDM, installation works, disposal, site coordination and key stakeholder engagement, working at height, testing and certification and project completion documentation.

Solution

Working closely with the Trust over a number of years, the team at CorEnergy is highly experienced at working in live and complex healthcare environments and these projects included safely delivering works in maternity wards, end of life care units, acute hospitals and inpatient areas. The healthcare specific processes and methodologies at CorEnergy ensure patient and college wellbeing was considered at each stage of the process.

Focusing on high quality, UK made and tested luminaires and control solutions, the upgrades covered all responsibilities for mains lighting, emergency lighting and control functionality whilst confirming photometric design and controls methodology was appropriate for each healthcare environment.
