On Friday 17 March Lakehouse Construction staged an important event to mark the start of our Lindon Farm project in Surrey.

The project involves the construction of long term supported living accommodation for adults with autism and high support needs. Including an activity centre with sensory and therapy provision, private gardens, communal parking area, allotments and a growing area, and a residents’ walk/exercise track

Ian Dewhurst, Regional Head for Lakehouse Construction, Business Development Manager Andrew Knights, Contracts Manager Steve Burton and Site Manager Alan Crookes attended the Turf cutting ceremony along with County Councillors, local MP Anne Wilton, representatives from the Simon Trust charity, Haverstock Architects and Adult Social Care and Project Management personnel from Surrey County Council.

Sally Marks, Chairman of Surrey County Council took control of the excavator to remove the first piece of turf. The event was a huge success and Surrey are looking forward to working closely with Lakehouse throughout the duration of the project.
