The Considerate Constructors Scheme has announced details of the 2016 National Site Awards and nine Lakehouse projects are due to receive an award. These awards recognise the highest performing sites and provide a rare opportunity for those involved to celebrate their achievements with colleagues and clients.
Four will go to Lakehouse’s Regeneration division for:
- Bannister Estate and Wrens Park Estate, Hackney Homes
- Wild Street, Peabody
- Clyde Road, Peabody
- Freebridge, Freebridge Community Housing
Five will go to Lakehouse’s Construction division for:
- Battersea Dogs and Cats Home
- Little Thurrock Primary School, Thurrock Council
- Brent Knoll School, London Borough of Lewisham
- Market Fields School, Essex County Council
- Kylemore Close, Newham Borough Council
Congratulations to all those involved in these high performing projects, particularly Ari Kujala, Duncan Ferreira, Jamie Brown, Ronnie Powell, Mick Page, Jamie Smith, Kelly Ford, Steve Homewood, Peter Blackburn and Chris Knott.
About the Scheme
The Scheme was founded in 1997 to improve the image of the construction industry. The Code of Considerate Practice outlines the Scheme's expectations and describes those areas that are considered fundamental for registration with the Scheme.
The Code covers five areas:
Care about appearance – ensure sites appear professional and well managed
Respect the community – give utmost consideration to our impact on neighbours and the public
Protect the environment – protect and enhance the environment
Secure everyone’s safety – attain the highest levels of safety performance
Value their workforce – provide a supportive and caring working environment
