Sutton Housing Partnership

Sutton Housing Partnership is responsible for providing the day-to-day management of housing services to over 6,500 tenants and 1,500 leaseholders. In the first year of the framework we delivered internal refurbishment works to around 800 properties. A vast majority of works were carried out on the Benhill Estate, which comprises eight blocks of 6 storey maisonettes, as well as a number of scattered street properties. In 2013/14 we completed 666 occupied dwellings, comprising kitchen and bathroom installations and heating upgrades. The majority of these were on the St. Helier Estate totalling 12 blocks and the rest were Victorian street properties that had been converted into flats. This required careful and considered resident liaison to ensure that neighbouring properties did not experience disruption during the works.

We undertook daily consultation with our multi-trade operatives and issued specific weekly programmes ensuring the project was fully resourced at all times, in turn minimising disruption to residents through consistency of operatives working within each property.

Since commencing the framework, Lakehouse has actively supported the local communities through events such as the St. Helier Festival. Every June we donate funding and prizes and even won the 2013 mascot race, run by our very own Lenny Lakehouse!
